“Brno’s a good track to get back into the rhythm after the summer break. We found a lot of time between the morning and the afternoon and I was able to go quite quickly straight away this afternoon.

We still haven’t quite got the pace we’d hoped for though, and obviously everybody else went quicker too as the track dried up and the conditions improved. We have a few new things that we’re trying this weekend and so far we’ve yet to take a big step forward, but we’ll definitely put our heads together tonight and see if we can move up.

Obviously the tyres are a big factor and I have a few more options there that I haven’t tried yet so we’ll see how they look tomorrow.”
