Nicky Hayden sustained a chest injury during the GP of France where he crashed with only a few laps to go. Even though the reigning world champion is in pain, he was keen to get back on the bike to test and find a way to improve the bike. Nicky Hayden was 10th on the timesheets on Monday with a best lap of 1′35.9
Nicky Hayden said:
“I’m happy to be able to get on the bike after Sunday. The doctors said I definitely wouldn’t make my situation any worse by riding if I could deal with the pain, and it’s obvious I need to be working on some issues right now - me and the team both. The laps today weren’t exactly comfortable today though. We focussed all our time trying get rid of the chatter into the corners because we were getting some here - even yesterday even in the rain. I hope to feel even better on Tuesday and will be aiming to get some more good information for the team.”
