Nicky Hayden crashed out of the GP of France with only a few laps to go. The reigning MotoGP world champion was riding in 4th position at the time. Nicky lost control of his Repsol Honda bike while he was on the breaks at the very wet circuit of Le Mans and ended up in the gravel.

His bike got torn to pieces as it flew through the air, but Nicky Hayden managed to get up and walk away. He did get injured in the crash though. Nicky Hayden sustained torn cartilage in his ribcage.
